Filming locations on FilmMap come from
filming
location statements on Wikidata
(CC0), plus places named in each production's Wikipedia Filming section — always
labelled “per Wikipedia”, never mixed with the statements (see
about).
Video games are the other
exception: a game is filmed nowhere, so its places are its
narrative
location — where it is set, never where it was shot. Photographs are from
Wikimedia
Commons. Coverage is as complete as volunteers have made it — some productions have no
location recorded, and some are recorded only as a country, which is too coarse to map.
